You know, this stuff really upsets me. Since the 1980's it has been part of the National Electrical Code to put a disconnect by HVAC equipment yet here we have a unit made in 2001 where the dealer didn't put in a disconnect. So the install is not to code, it's more dangerous to work on, and they got the job cause they were cheaper, not less expensive, cheaper.
